INGREDIENTS
1 pkg (26 ounce) frozen Hash Browns
1/2 cup diced onion
1 cup diced pepper
2 cups diced and cooked Premium Sausage Farmer Style Sausage (Mennonite Sausage works well too)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
INSTRUCTIONS
An easy hash brown casserole for any meal. This is a great idea for an early breakfast. It can cook overnight and be ready for early risers with a big appetite. Every crock pot is different so before you try it overnight, cook it during the day when you can keep an eye on it. This is a good way to use up leftover Premium Sausage….if you ever have any leftovers, that is.
Be creative and try shredded Swiss for a sharper taste 1 dozen eggs, whisked well with hand whisk or hand blender 1 cup milk or chicken broth 2 Dashes of Tabasco…or more or less to taste Salt and Pepper to taste 1 tbsp fresh or dried Parsley, Oregano or other Italian Herbs
1. Spray your crock pot with cooking spray to avoid sticking.
2. Layer first the frozen potatoes, then onions and pepper.
3. Next add the diced Premium Sausage and then the shredded cheese.
4. Mix together the beaten eggs, milk, Tabasco sauce and spices. Pour this mixture over everything.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
