This natural area is just a short drive south of Seven Persons on Highway 887. The drive is absolutely beautiful! You’re sure to see a herd of antelope or spot a hawk along the way. The coulee features massive red sandstone concretions that were formed millions of years ago. This is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch and a hike through the rocks. The prairie view is stunning and a great place to capture some photos!

This small town bakery has an assortment of fresh, high quality baked goods, pastries, bread and treats. Pick up a dozen donuts to go or enjoy coffee or lunch at the bakery.

BOW ISLAND GOLF COURSE

Enjoy a round of golf out in Bow Island! The 9 hole golf course features a beautiful view of the prairies and is complete with a lounge and pro shop.

You don’t want to miss this stop! Jimmy’s has great food and friendly service. If you miss the good ol’ days at the drive-in, cruise out on a weeknight and grab a burger and curly fries!

ECHO DALE REGIONAL PARK AND FARM

This park features a swim lake, boat/fishing lake, historic farmhouse, barnyard and farm animals, Ajax coal mine, baseball diamond, beautiful trails and large firepits. Pack a lunch and enjoy the whole day at Echo Dale with the family or save a fire pit in the evening for a wiener roast and bonfire. There is also a paved trail for bikers to commute to and from the park and Medicine Hat.

GOLDEN SHEAF PARK & FARM AND RATTLESNAKE DAM

A recreational area that provides overnight campsites for tents, trailers and motorhomes. Day visitors and seasonal lot holders can enjoy the boat launch and dock, jet ski launch, beach with sandy and grassy areas and playgrounds.

This is a great spot to go fishing for walleye, yellow perch and northern pike. It is also home to many bird species including Western Grebe. These wetlands are a great place to search for Marsh Wren, Common Yellowthroat and a variety of sparrows.

40 Mile Park & Recreation Area is ideal for family fishing, boating, camping and adventure. The lake is 7 miles long and up to 75 feet deep for ideal boating, water skiing and fishing enjoyment. A public boat launch and public swimming area with a sandy beach adds to convenience for the entire family.
